Gau-pooja

"Gau-pooja," or the worship of the cow, symbolizes the reverence for Goddess Kamadhenu, often referred to as Gomatha, the wish-fulfilling divine cow. This sacred practice is believed to bring about various positive effects in one's life.

Puranas:

The cow, in the form of Goddess Kamadhenu, is considered a wish-fulfilling entity, akin to a divine tree that grants the fulfillment of one's desires.

Wealth:

Performing Gau Pooja is thought to bestow abundant wealth, providing the necessary resources for a prosperous life.

Happiness:

The worship of Gomatha, or the sacred cow, is believed to bring about happiness and inner peace in one's life.

Prosperity:

Engaging in Gomatha worship is said to bless individuals with all forms of prosperity, ensuring a content and joyful life.

At RCBF Gaushala, we are delighted to arrange Goupooja at our farm, where we are fortunate to have Gir and Kanrej cows. We can assist you in conducting the Goupooja with the guidance of our experienced Poojari (Priest). During the Goupooja ceremony, you can participate in the following activities:

Bath Cows:

You can give a bath to the cows and their calves before commencing the Goupooja.

Decorate Cows:

You have the opportunity to adorn Gomatha with garlands, flowers, tilak, and other ceremonial embellishments.

Perform Pooja:

Our Poojari will lead the Gau Pooja, and you are encouraged to actively participate in the rituals alongside him.

Feed Cows:

Nourish Gomatha with fresh grass, fruits, and vegetables, and you are welcome to bring some fruits and vegetables to contribute to this sacred act.
